Movie Response: The Interrupters The documentary, The Interrupters, focus on the impact education has in the brutality and bloodshed in the United States. Chicago, Illinois is one of the most violent cities in the US, and because of this multiple violent prevention projects were formed.The documentary followed â€Å"interruptors† of violence in the streets of Chicago through mediation. â€Å"Interrupters† are former high ranking gang members who volunteered to stop the violence in hopes to save lives. One of the major â€Å"interruptors† that deserve to be focused on is Ameena Matthews. Mrs. Matthews has an extensive ties to the gangs activity in Chicago. Her father, Jeff Fort, was one of the first and most dominant gang leaders of Chicago. When in care of her mother, Matthews was mentally, physically, and sexually abused as a child from ages of 9-15 years old. Matthews then returned to live with her grandmother in an overcrowded roach filled apartment. In attempts to develo p a better life for her and her grandmother, Matthews became involved with the mob. Matthews developed a reputation for herself and quickly became the only female lieutenant in the mob she participated in. She then became consumed with the lifestyle and its benefits. Conflict is something that each person will have to deal with sooner or later. Our text described the Conflict Resolution Cycle and Ten Principles of New Thinking that can resolve conflicts in a less costly manner (Levine, 2009). Brown (2011), points out that a chance of goal conflict is somewhat low between groups that have their own resources and perform entirely different tasks. In other words, if your task is separate the chances of conflict are extremely low. As demographic segmentation of the target customers is covering a huge population, the company has also used psychographic segmentation (Boone Kurtz, 2013). The psychographic segmentation highlighted the most preferred flavors among the Australian population. Therefore, the company has launched Nourish Green and Nourish Berry based on the psychographic segmentation of the target customers. This could be done with the application of R2 strength profiler. R2 strength profiler is a scientific way to develop and measure various strengths of employees (Albdour and Altarawneh 2014). This initiative will enhance the training and development procedure at the company and increase e mployee satisfaction. Another initiative that could be taken is introduce engagement as service measure on score card. This plan can be implemented by having an agreed engagement target score for each business unit that employees are measured against. This will impact the rewards and recognition predictor of employee engagement and help to enhance employee engagement in the company. Both the initiatives will not only impact the employee engagement in the organisation but will also result into improved productivity, high level of customer satisfaction, improved financial growth, staff retention, high morale of employees and ensures employee well-being. Conclusion It can be concluded that Google is an organisation that is working best for its employees. Google has adopted various HR practices such as free food, attractive perks, flat organisational structure, fun activities in the office, allowing pets in the office, paid maternity leaves and much more. The company has adopted these practices to ensure employee engagement in the organisation. The company works on Maslows theory of motivation and does it best to keep its workforce motived and enthusiastic to work. Google cultivates the culture of innovation and creativity in the organisations. The company believes in freeing the talent of the people and empowering its employees. The company effectively and efficiently manages its workforce to attain its mission and vision. Black Holes essays The universe as we know it is an amazing thing. There is so much we have learned, but there is even more that we have yet to understand. One of the great mysteries of the universe is the black hole. While most people are not really sure of what they are, some think that they are a magical gateway into another galaxy or another part of our universe. The mystery surrounding the black hole is what made me interested in them. The first scientists to study black holes and the collapsing of stars were Robert Oppenhimer and his student Hartland Snyder, early in the nineteen hundreds. They came up with the name black hole because of the fact that not even light could escape their gravitational pull. The second part, hole, is due to the actual hole where everything is absorbed and where the center core is found. Since all black holes are created from the collapse of a star, one must know a little bit about how a star is formed. A star is created when huge gas clouds come together. Then they join and form a hot core that is made from all the energy within the two gas clouds. This energy is so great that when they first collide, a nuclear reaction takes place and the gases inside the star begin to burn continuously. The star maintains its shape because of an equilibrium that is accomplished by the gravitational pull from the core of the star being equal to the gravitational pull of the gases. This goes on for millions of years until the fuel of the star runs out. When this happens the outward force is not as strong as the inward gravitational force, causing the star to cave in on itself. Depending on the original mass and ending mass of the star there are several things that can happen, one of them being the formation of a black hole.
